For your convenience we have summarized some of the herbal treatment descriptions. Please note, these are just little previews. To read all about how the illness develops, simple tips to prevent and treat them as well as home remedies, please click on the headings. Diabetes Treatment - Adults Adult onset diabetes mostly comes on slowly and can be intercepted at any stage of its development if it is caught before regular insulin injection become necessary. If insulin has been used for some time it is more difficult to turn the disease around as the pancreas has shut down completely due to the insulin. The two common herbs supportive of the pancreas are oats and fennel. Herbs: The herbs I include in my Diabetes (Adult Onset) mix are: Chamomile, Oats, Comfrey, St Mary's Thistle, Bladderack, Rosehips, and Fennel. To this mix I add the Bach Flower Remedies Walnut, Scleranthus, Red Chestnut, Wild Rose and Centaury. Diabetes Treatment - Children Childhood onset diabetes can be sudden and severe and these cases are very difficult to rectify and I believe more likely to be due to environmental poisoning than anything else. These cases need urgent support and energetic healing as well as blood cleansing and diabetic support herbs. Herbs: The herbs I include in my Diabetes (Childhood Onset) mix are: Chamomile, Oats, St Mary's Thistle, Bladderack, Rosehips, and Fennel. To this mix I add the Bach Flower Remedies Walnut, Scleranthus, Red Chestnut, Pine and Rescue Remedy. Glandular Fever The way back to recovery from glandular fever is to build up your Vitamin B through large doses of multi B's and Vitamin B12 and I offer a Glandular Fever Support mix Herbs: As in most cases each individual requires a slightly different formulation depending on their own constitution, health history, and stress handling responses. I offer a full one hour assessment and written report and individual herbal treatment . Pancreatic Conditioning For any patient whose pancreas has been out of balance, perhaps reflecting in blood sugar problems from either emotional or perhaps chemical upsets; I prescribe a generalised mix to help it come back into normal function. Herbs: Chamomile, Oats, St Mary's Thistle, Bladderack, Rosehips, Fennel, Comfrey, Ginseng, Pine Bark, and Violet Leaves. To this mix I add the Bach Flower Remedies Walnut, Scleranthus, Olive and Rescue Remedy. Liver Conditioning This complex herbal mix is a powerful rehabilitation tonic for those suffering from metabolic stress. Herbs: Dandelion, St Mary's Thistle, Alfalfa, Blue Flag, Fennel, Rosehips, Agrimony and Kelp along with the Bach Flowers Agrimony, Olive, Walnut and Scleranthus Thyroid Treatment There are a few simple herbs, which help to bring the thyroid back into balance, and these are common to correcting both underactivity and overactivity. The Bach Flowers I include as energetic tonics in each mix are however different. Herbs: Chamomile, Oats, Comfrey, Dandelion, Bladderack, Rosehips, and Ginseng. To this mix I add the Bach Flower Remedies Wild Rose, Scleranthus and Clematis Pre & Post Natal Support I treat many ladies for this sort of depression which comes on a few weeks or months after birthing. It can be devastating and long lasting and it is preventable. In nutritional terms, very high expectations and getting run down before the birth can consume all of your available Vitamin B reserves. You can therefore find yourself with a brand new baby and very little emotional energy no vitamin B's in reserve. Herbs: Vervain, Chamomile, Borage, Rosehips, St Mary's Thistle and Yarrow, with the Bach Flower Rescue Remedy, Walnut and Gorse. Post Natal Depression For those suffering depression after the birth of a child I recommend taking taking this combination of Nervous System and Hormonal Balancing support herbs along with very large doses of Vitamin B Complex and Vitamin B 12. Herbs: Mugwort, Oak, Chamomile, Vervain, Pulsatilla, Phytolacca, Comfrey Pine Bark and Yarrow with the Bach Flowers Mustard, Walnut, Beech and Scleranthus Stretch Marks Prevention The cream is to be massaged gently into the stomach and upper thighs daily before bed at night and after a hot shower in the morning. It should be used continuously throughout the second half of pregnancy and for three months after birthing. Herbs: This herbal mix contains herbal extracts of Maritime Pine, Comfrey, Rosemary, Hypericum, Equisetum, Comfrey, Slippery Elm and Wheat grass which will improve the elasticity of your skin and the connective tissue supporting the skin and allow it to stretch during pregnancy and recover after birthing to minimize or eliminate the appearance of stretch marks. Fertility Menstrual difficulties and fertility have been another of the major preoccupations of traditional herbalists since earliest times. There is a vast knowledge about herbs which support all aspects of fertility and reproduction and many different herbs to choose amongst to suit individual cases. Herbs: The Fertility treatment mix I recommend as a starting place includes the herbs:- Pulsatilla, Phytolacca, Rosehips, Chamomile, Blue Flag and Raspberry Leaf along with the Bach Flowers Scleranthus and Walnut. Fibroids Uterine leiomyomas, better known as uterine fibroids, are benign smooth muscle tumours of the uterus. Herbs: The herbs I include in my basic mix include Chamomile, Comfrey, Equisetum, Raspberry Leaf, Rosehips, Golden Seal and Maritime Pine along with the Bach Flower Remedies Wild Oat, Walnut, Scleranthus and Wild Rose. Mastitis Mastitis is an infection of the milk ducts of the breast and it is particularly likely early in a mother's first experience with breast-feeding. Herbs: The specific mix I make up includes the following herbs: Chamomile, Garlic, Rosehips, Echinacea and Fenugreek with the Bach Flower Remedies Walnut and Larch. Menopause There are many natural alternatives to Hormone Replacement Therapy (H.R.T.) and its attendant discomfort and dangers. Herbs: My choice as a starting point contains the following herbs:- Vervain, Wild Yam, Euphorbia, Pulsatilla, Rosehips, Liquorice and Blue Flag in a Bach Flower base of Cerato, Wild Oat and Scleranthus. Morning Sickness Treatment This simple to take mixture (just a few drops in water) will support the Liver and Pancreas where most nausea responses originate as well as gently assisting your body and your nervous system to come to terms with the hormonal changes generally involved in early pregnancy. Herbs: Ginger has a place in all types of nauseous responses and my Morning Sickness mix has this herb along with Chamomile, Liquorice, Sarsaparilla, Raspberry Leaf, Hypericum, Vervain, Fennel and St.Mary's Thistle all in concentrated liquid extract form. Ovarian Cysts Ovarian Cysts sound like some sort of illness or abnormal occurrence but in fact, every month a cyst forms on either the left or the right hand side ovary in a normally ovulating woman. Herbs: My herbal treatment consists of a concentrated extract of the herb Red Clover (which specifically thins the walls of cysts and encourages the cysts to rupture much earlier in their cycle) along with the herbs Pulsatilla, Phytolacca, Chamomile, Blue Flag, St Mary's Thistle and Rosehips. To these I add the Bach Flower Remedies Walnut, Red Chestnut, Wild Oat and Impatiens. Prostate Mix Many adult males begin to experience difficulty in passing urine from middle age onward. These difficulties include incomplete emptying, frequency of urges to urinate but not being able to pass much, or spraying urine as if it is coming out under pressure rather than a good strong stream. Herbs: I prepare a herbal extract mix of the following herbs:- Saw Palmetto, Maritime Pine Bark, Comfrey, Celery, Juniper, Blue Flag, Phytolacca, Cleavers and Rosehips to promote urinary and bladder health and kidney function in general. I also include the Bach Flowers Scleranthus, Wild Oat, Larch and Wild Rose.
