Throat Irritations in Singers, Speakers and Teachers

100 ml Blend. Dose 20 drops added to a glass of Water and Fresh Lemon Juice: $58

In past ages we regularly used herbs to support specific demands and many common drinks derived from such mixes. The Romans used fresh lemon drinks to counter assassination through poisoning.

Hot drinks with Gin or Whiskey and Lemon were used to help clear chest and throat infections.

All sorts of common herbs were dried or preserved and used as medicines Garlic, Thyme, Ginger, Pepper, Chilli, Parsley, Mint, Rosemary, Sage and the list goes on.

Some folk place very high demands on their throat or vocal cords through their professional lives as singers, speakers or teachers.

To assist such persons I make up a herbal combination of: Rosehips, Yarrow, Thyme and Marshmallow which is to be added to a fresh lemon drink and taken before they start using their voice. Then as opportunity provides, they should sip as frequently as possible the same combination during their performances, and again afterward.

Such a simple practice will minimise throat irritation and stress on the vocal cords, reduce the likelihood of laryngitis and preserve a singers voice.

For additional support if a gargle is made from a 1/4 teaspoon of dried Thyme made into a tea with boiling water and used as a gargle when cool this will prevent any early signs of sore throat turning into an infection.

It is as simple as that.
